Default tire rub

What are they rubbing on?? Fender? Frame at full lock? If its the fender on the wrecked side, something may need adjusted or the fenders might need rolled

they rub on the fender. not a lot but enough to make me take them off until i get everything right. i thought that 245 should even fit with no rub. so i still need to pull the front supports forward?

Not sure with the ponys what bs they have but 225 is pretty much stock width for a gt. Does it rub both fenders or just the side that you fixed?

Which fenders are you using? 79-90 or 91-93? The front fender spat (the scoop) was made a bit smaller in front for 91 so the tires wouldnt rub. Using a 91-93 fender with the 87-90 spat could cause a problem. The spat will be pushed closer to the tire.

The bs on my 16" Ponys are 5.72 if i remember correctly. All 4 are a 225/55/16 BFG. No rubbing of any kind anywhere. Then again my 93 came with them.

+1

If you are running a fender/spat older than '91, you can't run bigger than a 15" wheel combo. The '91-"93 fenders/spats were made bigger to allow more wheel and tire combos.
