Default Quick Question

I know everyone gets sick of header questions but Ive been working on putting MAC equals on my 90 for a few days now and I cant get the drivers side. I tried jacking up the motor and that didnt work. Has anyone unhooked the steering and went from the bottom? Is there a different way to do this? If I get the headers and exhaust finished Ill be able to post pics tonite so help me out
