paint cost?

RE: paint cost?
It is all going to vary, butI would say that the biggiest problem if you get a quickie paint job is the delamination of the clearcoat. You have all seen it, oldcars running around faded with that white colored residue speckled on it.this happens when it is sprayed toothin anddestroyed by UV rays, BUT also when shops cut corners and rope glass(pull back and push little plastic pieces in to seperate the moldings) to get tape in there leaving an exposed edge that gets eroded etc. Every shop ropes, but to get a good paint job,PULL all the glass to make sure you get a good seal with the clearcoat. When clear is delaminated or "burned in" improperly, you get that I need a new paint job look already.
Also...some people call it Mistake-O. You might want tomake sure you have a relationship with the people that are going to do the work on your car in that instance.

RE: paint cost?
funny you could paint it yourself for under $300 bucks but there going to charge you thousands for a good paint job!
I did all my own body work primed the car and still payed $950 to have it taped and sprayed.....and I could have painted it better myself.
