To be NHRA legal you must also run a switch at the back to kill the power to the car. Not only does it have to kill the power. It must intersect the charging system so the engine dies.
Another good pratice is to wire it up so the heavy pos wire is only hot when cranking. All other times, it's dead. This require a seperate power lead.

just get a black battery box form orileys or autozone for like 10 bucks. find someone that dose car audio and steal some wire from them and then you have your relocatio kit for under 30 bucks.
