hey where did you get your pushbutton under the hood fastblack? and you have a pic of it by chance?
It's attached to the piece of plexi-glass to the right of my ign. box. I cant remember where i got it though. I'll pull it out of the shop this week and look at to see how i hooked it up and see if there is a name on it.

I have a push button starter on my truck. Kinda cool since it's somewhat unique. It's been on theresincebefore I owned itthough and I have no idea how it's hooked up. My dad hada mechanic friendput in when the ignition cylinder broke and the Start position wouldn't work. You still have to put the key in and turn it to Run before the button will work though. The accessory position doesn't work either along with the littlemechanism thatlocks the key in there until you hit a switch under the column (my Cobra has this, not sure about earlier 'stangs). The button itself is actually a panic button from a residential alarm system circa the '80s

my 86 LXhas that little button, on the underside of the column, it wont let you take the key out unless you push it in and turn the key all theway to off....

dont know why ford put it on there..
