Water pump help for stoooopids!!!
ok I must be stoopid, jk.. anyway I am not that famaliar with reverse and std rotation water pumps.
so here is my question
if you remove the tin plate from back of water pump and look at the impellor (vanes). if you have a standard rotation pump which way will the vanes lean to on the top. towards the right or left.

well see thats the strange thing, this motor is from a 1984 mercury grand marquis.. and it had a serp and a v belt set up. so I am not sure what this has.
I dont however have the belt routing or a picture of that installed in the car to go off of.

so let me refrase this question.
say you were walking in a parts store and you picked up two water pumps and couldnt find any part numbers on them. if you had to look at them how do you know which is reverse rotation and which isnt..
