door window help
Any help appreciated. I rolled my passenger window all the way down (electric) and now it will not roll back up. This has happened once before at the track and another mustang guy came over and helped me and said my scissor arm was stuck and he just reached down there and did something and it worked fine. Can someone please tell me what he did so I can go roll up my window?

RE: door window help
well i had this happen and it turend out the gear in my eletric motor had gone bad, also after i replaced it i noticed that it was stuck and i figured out that i had tightened the bolts that attach the motor to the siscor arms to tight and the gears would bind together so i had to back them out and run the motor up and down to set the gears properly and try some silicone on the sissor arm

Can you hear anything in the door when pushing the button? Try banging on the door (in the middle) w/ your hand while holding the button. Can't tell you how many Ford windows I've put up like that.

RE: door window help
i cannot hear anything when i push the button. I just tried pushing in the middle still nothing. I have the door panel off right now and the arm that goes from the motor down to the sliding piece looks like its coming apart where it connects, Im not sure if I hope this is the problem or not. If it is at least i know what is, but it looks like a pita to get to.

did you look at your motor???? its just 3 bolts and if you do have to take out the arms just drill out the pop rivits and then replace them with screws when re-installing the new arm

RE: door window help
tap on the motor case lightly with a hammer while holding the button down.. if that doesn't work you'll need a test light to check for power at the motor while holding the switch down...one side should have power on it while holding the switch down
