I ran an 8.6 at 82 mph. And supposedly put down 280 before I did LT's, o/r h, CAI, and MAF. My block has 150k on it and has seen better days for sure. Not to mention, my clutch slips a lil now, though it wasnt noticeable when we raced. ^^^^^
A few other things I cant remember ^^^^^

I wasnt powershifting when I raced. I was using OLD 26x10.5" slicks. The 4.30's are too much gear for my cam and intake.

That makes sense. You will really have to twist up to around 7000 to get the full benefit of 4.30's.

With a t-5 and a 3.35 low gear, your power range had better be way upstairs. This is why my stock engine ran the same et as his because my 3.55's kept my engine down in a usable rpm range. With 4.30's you'le be wasting too much time shifting.

RE: Im sooooo pissed!
No driver error here. You can ask anyone that knows me personally on these forum and they will tell you I know how to drive.
Are you stupid??? Having that many miles on a block will surely not have the best compression. As I said, the slipping wasnt noticeable when we raced. Maybe you should read over my posts a little more carefully.
Exactly!!! My power peaks at 5500rpm with the E-cam. The 4.30's rev too fast, which results in having to shift too frequently. I need either 4.10's, or 3.90's.

RE: Im sooooo pissed!
did he have a 351 windsor or clevland in it...cause if it's a clevland and with the right clevland head = 4 barrel closed chamber heads and a cam and 4 barrel intake...those clevlands have some power behind them.....given the right parts not hard to put a h/c/i 302 to shame
