did he have a 351 windsor or clevland in it...cause if it's a clevland and with the right clevland head = 4 barrel closed chamber heads and a cam and 4 barrel intake...those clevlands have some power behind them.....given the right parts not hard to put a h/c/i 302 to shame

heck a 2v cleve wiould probably also a stock 2v cleve with header,intake carb and lunati bracket master cam 2 is supposed to be good for 405hp and i believe 450torque

As far as I know, he has a 351w, 4bbl, a cam, shorties, and flows. He might have an Edelbrock Performer manifold also, but I dont remember. My gears are my downfall. I may just leave the 4.30s in it though and put a monster cam when I do the 408. As of now, I just have a stock 351w shortblock at my brothers in La. Im a LONG way from where I need to be. Hopefully I can get started on it ASAP when I move back out there. Its going to be EXPENSIVE. Just the heads I wanna get are $2k, then Im also gonna have to get a new tranny. I may just go the C4, or route instead of doing a manual.

Its gotta be the gears man. If I had an X-cam and an RPM manifold it would be a different story.
I think he could have taken me from a dig. My car car is useless all the way to the top of second with 4.30's and Radial TA's.
