Default Quick Oil Question

hey guys, I got a quick question regarding my oil pressure. It is probably a newbie question, but i figure i might as well ask instead of not know. Ok, so my car is coming out of winter storage this week sometime probably. Last year before I put it away, I think the oil pressure seemed to be on the low end of normal.I was wondering if I ran a thicker oil if that would help me build up more oil pressure or not? I run syntetic 5w30 in it right now.
Thanks in advance.

Yes it would, the pressure in my 93GT is about 55-60psi cold and 45-50 psi warm. 70k miles on stock lower emd.

chang oil and bump up to a 10w/30 or 15w/40 and if it's still low perform a mech test to verify your suspicions

ok, so I could go as thick as a 15/40 without running into any problems? And i thinking that it is probably the guage because the motor has relatviely low miles on it, but you never know.
Thanks for the help guys.

15w / 40 will work but if it's a newer motor stick with 10w 30...the 15w/40 will only confirm your assumption and correct issue if it's a bearing issue.. personally I'd perform a mech test to see what actual readings are and compare to spec cold about 35-45 psi....warm 25-30 psi
