[&o]Bought a 86 GT a few months ago. Person before me added a BBK65mm throttle body and cold air intake with aMAF sensor. Have been having problems with the engine loading up upon cold start up. If I run the rpm's up to around 1500 for a couple of minutes the problem is not as apparent. Have replaced the fuel filter, cap & rotor, and coolant sensor. Anyone have any clues on this problem? When did ford start using MAF sensors?
Thanks for anyone's help.

not sure about the problem but they didnt put maf sensors in until late 88 or 89. I think some 88's have them and i know all 89's did.

MAF came on California cars in 88 and all in 89.

What MAF is it. Is it a stock one or aftermarket?
Have you done a code test of theECM to see if it has any codes stored?
