RE: Anyone heard of M&R Engines?
I have not ever heard of them. My Fathers youngest sister was once shacked up with Jerry Eckman, the old NHRA Penzoil Pro Stockdriver. I have heard from him and my father that there was some killer engine shops from that area.
I'd say talk to them and ask them some key questions about balancing and decking the block and even deck height. If it sounds good and they sound like they are not shooting you a line, I'd say go for it. You would almost be money ahead by the time you got a true roller block and did it all yourself. Ask them if it is a true roller block or a block they would have to drill provisions for the spider hold downs.I'm glad I didn't see that ad when I built my drive line or I would of had a 408 in my car.
