RE: Painting HELP!
Ive never messed with fiberglass but in my Streetrod class I was taught to use (including bondo work) 40, 80, 180, 320, 400, 600. in those stages from bare metal and bondo to finish primer. We primered after the 180. Then wetsanded with the higher grits. There are a couple of body guys here that may have worked with fiberglass and can help you better with that aspect.

RE: Painting HELP!
I blocked everything with 180, it will cut faster and make a straighter panel. Then I hit it with the DA with a transition pad with400 to get it ready for primmer. I blocked my primmer with 240 and 320 and then I will hit that with 600 just before I seal it for paint....but I am just a noob being told what to do.
