Default coolant light on

Hey guys I have only had my stang for a few months now and it is my first stang and first Ford,
It seems everytime I drive the car the coolant light comes on, I have checked the level in the
radiator and it is full, I have added coolant to the overflow bottle but still the light comes on
most every time I drive the car. Is it a bad sensor? Any help would be super, thanks in advance.

either get a new sensor or deal with it

This is a very common problem with these cars, mine does the same...I agree, get a new sensor or just do what most people do....Unplug the Bit**

Mine did it until I did the H/C/I when I took everything apart I noticed the sensor in the overflow had grey gunk all over it.Upon further inspection the overflow tank had about 5inches of grey gunk in it I cleaned the sensor washed out the overflow tank.
Needles to say the light doesnt come on anymore.Im not sure if the fox has that same sensor in the overflow tank but if it does clean everything and see if it helps.

I thought you were only supposed to put water in the overflow bottle?

Thats what I've been doing all along.

Can somebody comment on this?
