RE: FINALLY back together...
so about the mark viii fan. what did you do to it? and how thick is that radiator? my buddy is giving me an aluminum radiator but it is out of a 5.8 bronco. so we prob are gonna do a little fab work to get it to fit..

RE: FINALLY back together...
It's pretty thick overall, but I'm not sure exactly. I trimmed 5/8" off of the thickness and shaved down all of the Lincoln mounting ribs.
Essentially I took about 3 lbs of plastic off of it. Considering how much time I have in it and how out of hand the budget got for this project anyhow, I should have gone with dual 12" fans and not worried about the clearance issues. Oh well.
Here is a shot of where the 5/8" came out of the thickness. I went all the way around the shroud like that.
Here is the best shot of one of the stock mounting ribs that I removed. There are 4 of them on the fan.
I'm planning to do a write-up on this later since the Lincoln fan seems to be a pretty popular swap for foxes. The entire smoothing process was tedious and took a LONG time to get right (maybe 50 hours). Like I said, I don't think I would do it again.
