hey i got an 88 mustang and was wondering if anyone knew on the pigtail that comes out with two black wires and a white one what the white one does and where it hooks to? Any help would appreciated thanks

Itgoes toyour rectifier in your alternator. The white wire only runs the dummy light on the dash, if it is broke, your amp light will be on. You can buy new plugs at napa and50resto if you need one.....I just got one from 50resto cus mine was broke.

so if the light comming on doesnt bother me can i just leave it unhooked and be alright?

I would plan on getting it fixed, but if it is just the little white wire that is bad, you should be fine.

alright well the white wire is fine i just dont know where it needs to be hooked up at?
