the valve covers dont look stock at all...im trying to remeber if my 80 had a v or serp belt. i can understanding wanting a collector car but what fun is it when your afraid to drive a car, and a 2barrell car leaves alot to yearn for. trx wheels are cool but try getting new tires for them!!metric crap. the a/c on the car doesnt look right either was it replaced???
im glad i dont have a car like that..i would be afraid to do anything to it too!!! i love the noses on the 82 gt

Wow, the 82 GT such a beautiful sight. That was my first car when I turned 16 lol. That is effing stock right down to the r12 ac! They did come factory with the serpt belt and those valve covers. Loved that car but the front subframes rotted out so bad that when i launched it i ripped the sway bar out of the frame haha. The biggest complaint I had on it was the pepsi can metal steering wheel they had. I finally put a 79 pace car wheel in mine. Great SROD 4 spd. Such a blast to drive and one you almost NEVER see another of. Great buy!

wow that is one nice car. i have always loved the 82 and it even has the original marshal fog lights and covers. you cant even find the covers if i were you lock that car up at night and if you do drive it out take the covers off and hid them in the car cause you will be missing them one day when you come out of the store

A friend of mine lost his lift off hood because all he had was the clips on the pins and someone decided they wanted it more. After that he learned to put locks on it instead of the clips.

This car is bone stock, so yes the valve covers and AC system is stock. This was the first year of the 5.0, so apparently the first year for the serp. It was also the first year for these Powered By Ford "ribbed" valve covers that lasted through 1985. Yes the wheels are metric, but they are original and very cool for being period correct. Tires are expensive, but they are still available. Yes the 2bbl is not as powerfull as a 4bbl, but I didn't buy the car for power. And who said anything about not driving or being afraid to drive it? I plan to drive it locally for shows/cruise-ins and trailer it to distant events. There is such thing as owning a collectible car and still driving it occasionally.

And you are correct....the '82 GT nose is one of the most recognizeable out there....and its the one that inspired Steve Saleen to develop his fascia package for the 84-86 Saleens

Not to worry...this car will never see "shopping" duty As a collector or Marchals, I have plenty of spare lights including two NOS sets with covers (one with white and one with gray) so I am covered (no pun intended) should I ever fall victim to some thug

I hear ya....my '85 had 36k and wasn't taken care of quite as good as this '82. However I have a lead on a 14k mile 85 GT T-topper that is dead showroom mint as well and will probably be selling my 'Vert to a buddy in the spring to acquire it
