i think the E sounds better but the B feels better while driving. (friends 91 w/ stock heads e cam vs my stock heads B cam)

i think the B feels better performance wise...more repsonsive except there is a bit of lag between idle and 2500 RPMS. but the E cam just sounds way better at idle but i just dont feel much performance out of it over stock.

Default changing valve springs

ok if i just pop the valve covers off and replace the springs and rockers with some aftermarket ones will it do anything E/T wise

you'll have to take the heads off to replace your springs unless you fill your cylinder with twine or compress the cylinder with air so your valves dont fall into the cylinder.

but no springs wont help ET's just ensure proper seating pressure and overall operation of your valvetrain. however with some RR's you will gain a bit of HP's.
