I'm looking to swap my 302 into a 81 thunderbird. The donner 302 is set up for electric fuel pump and the 302 that is in the car now is mechanical pump. I would prefer to keep this as simple as possible so can I just change timing covers and add the cam on the camshaft for the mechanical pump?

 

Yup, just swap them over.

I have an 87 and it has the eccentric on it for the manual pump...not sure why, I'm EFI.
