Default newb here looking for suspension tips

so i got a 90 5.0 about a month ago and i put a new tranny in (that still sucks) but waaay better than the last one.. 2nd and 3rd were completely gone. also got some cobra rims and decent tires for 350. im liking it now. but i want to do some suspension upgrades.
I am getting a lot of wheel hop, which pisses me off. (not so much with the new cobra rims)
And seems like the right tire is the only one that spins sometimes.
so im planning on getting front and rear strut bars
But what springs/strut combo is good?
Im really into drifting, so give advice according to that... i have my vw's to handle on a dime

any advice would be really helpful! thanks guys

Wheel hop, remove the quad shocks and get some new upper and lower control arms, subframe connectors, and a strut tower brace, your car will be alot stiffer and you shouldnt get any wheel hop...

as for the peg legging, rear end needs a rebuild, clutches are worn out. take it to a shop and have em rebuild it and put in a set of gears, 3.73 if your stick, 4.10 if your auto

what the hell do you mean by strut bars? you mean shocks and struts?

just get some better shocks and some lowering springs, or better yet, some coilovers, and some caster camber plates

and drifting is gay

did i miss anything?

thanks for the info. how much does a usual rebuild go for on the rear diff?
also what i meant by the strut bars is the upper strut bars (the ones that bolt to the upper part of the strut towers)
what are some good sites for parts besides jegs, summit... etc...

My rebuild with 3.73s was quoted at 500 i believe

what your reffering to are the struts, theyre basically shocks, but have mounts and eliminate an upper A arm, hence bolting to the strut tower

I personally like summit, they have alot of good ****, but you can also try 50resto.com, mustangsunlimited.com and there are others i cant remember off the top of my head

I found out that rebuilds really depend on location. I got charged $400 just to install gears and that was the cheapest around. I have heard of people getting rebuilds AND installs for cheaper than what I paid just for install.

As far as suspension goes, it really depends on how much cash you have to spend. You can go as far as shocks/struts/springs all the way to 3 link full tubular setup's. Your budget will count out some companies, let us know and they we can give you better advice.

I was referring to axle seals/bearings...

Here is one of the best install kits I have found... this is the one I used.
