I"ve seen some guys loop a hose between the 2 bowls and slice a hole in the top of the hose.

Holley makes vent extensions that go in the bowl that extends the vent opening to the front of the bowl internally. Also, 9psi is s bit much for a carb, about 6.5 is what Holley recommends.
You might also lower the float level to just below the site hole while running.

drop the psi down to about 6-7 and see what it does...maybe its fillin it up much. plus im runnin stock efi pump and tank on my carb and i haven't had a single problem and i got mine at 6-7

Told ya awhile back the 4 cyl tranny wouldn't last long lol. c4's are fun but get boring. I go thru the gears on my c4 all day just out of bordom lol. I want a 5 speed in my 83!
