What is this 89 GT convertible worth?

looks to me like its a 5-speed... I looked carefully at the pic of it from the rear, and you can just see the shifter

Correct it is a 5 speed. Near as I can tell it is COMPLETELY unmolested.
The big problem I have with the car (besides not wanting to spend 4K) is that I want to get my hands dirty and if I play with this thing, it is no longer original. However, I don't have to go crazy to the point it could always go back to stock. I don't know....

If you dont get this car obviously someone else will and its future as a beautiful stocker is slim anyways.Might as well be you.Are these cars gonna be collectable one day?maybe. Also why not enjoy it now. keeping it nice for a future owner you dont know sux unless it ends up in Barret Jackson. Fast is great,I mean thats the whole idea of a 5.0 but its also a disease and it wont end.If I was in your position money or not I would buy this car=weekend cruiser/bragging show car and try to build up a primered hardtop POS for straight line fun.Either way I weep for the future of this car Heh heh

I'd ****** her up and tuck her in the garage, and take her out on weekends... I'd bite my hand not to touch a single thing....
but hell, there is one member on here who got an all original '82 GT for 8 grand.... with 14K on the odometer
8 new plugs, 1 new battery, some fresh gas and a carb rebuild and its up and running
