What mods do you have that you think you require a tune. Sounds like starting w/ the basics is in order. Cleaning the IAC and the t/b. Maybe you have a vacuum leak.

check your MAF is plugged in, clean your MAF with MAF cleaner, check/ clean your IAC and make sure its plugged in. check fro vac leaks with either a smoke machine or carb cleaner. check your base timing, set TPS between .6 to 1.01 volts, set base idle. and run koeo/koer and normal operating temp.

right now I am going to a community college(Imperial Valley College) for my lower division and general ed classes, hoping to transfer to SDSU in probably a year

My car is having the same issue after i did my HCI. i recently found out that they make a part that goes between the IAC and the throttle body that lets you adjust/help the idle. Ford sells it. i haven't bought the part yet, but i plan on it.

you definnately need a tune. i tuned my full bolt on stock motor and it needed leaned out and made a substantial difference

really...so what exactly did this "tuner" do? modify your computers functions or did they adjust your car correctly to make it run right??

make sure the A/F ratio is within range throughout the rpm range
