front swaybar question
I'm getting one of the maximum motorsports complete suspension packages. I noticed on my quote i got from them it says "check from swaybar diameter." Has anyone here purchased one of their kits and do you know what exactly they mean by that? How can I check that also...

Using a wrench to determine the sway bar installed might be difficult because they vary in small increments sometimes in 1 mm..............
If you have a stock unit from 1990 you might be able to tell if its one of three with the wrench. It could be 23.9mm, 28.6mm, 33.0mm...
I had a hard time with my mic determining the diff in swaybars from my 87ssp and 87 turbocoupe, I later found info to make me believe they are most likely 21.1 and 20.1 respectively (they have a slightly different design too). I measured several different places on the sway bar after grinding the area free of paint and contaminants and averaged the #'s to find what they likely were on the books: tbird was most likely the 87 Base (non V8) sway bar and the ssp was likely the 87 Handling (GT) there was only 4 thousanths difference, not visible with 'wrench mic' id bet - just a heads up & share my experiance
