ok, well this is all great info, but if i have bbk shorty headers, your saying that they will bolt up just fine to both gt40 AND gt40p heads? that would be convenient. but im not looking to swap the entire motor over because apparently my motor was rebuilt a while back and now has 22k on the odo, but im skeptical b/c the front main sea is leaking by the blancer and as well as somewhere on the back of the motor, possibly a valve cover gasket. so i was just going to buy an inexpensive 302 from an explorer as a donor motor to swap over the heads and intake. If i could in fact run the "p" heads with my headers that would be perfect, cuz i found a donor motor wit 100k for 400 bucks out of a 98.

I have the gt40p heads on my motor and i also run the bbk unequal headers. everything works out great except for one plug. You will need a special socket for the plug and also use a 90 degree boot on that wire. Other than that, you are fine. You will also need to upgrade the valve springs for larger cam.

ok great, now one other question with running gt40p heads would be, because they raise te compression, would this increase be an issue with boost?

i doubt it, its not going to cause that much of a bump in compression.

ok, well i was just thinking about rockers and springs. Which springs should i look into for a small cam, close to stock. and would some proform 1.6 rockers be decent or should i go 1.7?
