Default Fuel pump question

The fuel pump in my 92 is making an ugly sound, is it best to replace it with a factory pump or an aftermarket higher volume one? For now I plan on only minor engine mods, but eventually I'll add a blower. Will a higher volume pump work in a stock application until then? Thanks

you can put a 255lph pump in a stock car if you want to, doesnt effect anything adversely. i'd upgrade now if you plan on modding down the road.

as fivepointohh said, a 255 will be perfect! I also had a 255 in my other mustang which was completely stock for 3 years. Not any damage incurred because of the fuel pump upgrade whatsoever!!!

I replaced the fuel filter in my car along the with the pump the other day. The gas wouldn't pour out of the exit flow side. We turned it upside down and poured it into a 20oz drink botttle up to the label. It looked like someone had used it as a dip botltle, it was so dirty. Seriously, you could have thrown it on a fire and it would not have burned.
But yeah, your lines are off so replace the filter. Walbro and Holley pumps are the same thing, get the Walbro.
