you need to measure and mark your spring when it is installed and compressed in the car. The spring wont compress more after you cut it so you can do it right the first time. I cut my springs on my car and I didn't have any issues and it was free. I am sure other will argue that it will hurt this or hurt that, but if they haven't done it or understand how a spring works, ignore them. They are just the type of people who like to order new parts, bolt on new parts, and drive away. I am the type of person who gets satisfaction out of using my brain and making things work to save me $$. No offense to anyone.

So from what I gather, I should measure the distance from the wheel to the hub with the current springs. Measure length-ways on the springs (not by height),cut and install, roll the car back and forth and measure again until desired height is achieved? After wards, get an alignment. Do I got that all right? Anyone got any good reference pictures with amounts cut? Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it!
