Before and AFter of Explorer Intake
Any one have dyno numbers or track times of a before and after of a Cobra/GT-40/Explorer intake on a STOCK E7 headed STOCK CAM 302
other boltons really don't matter.

I do not have a before and after, but with boltons and a GT-40 intake I made 220rwhp and 267rwtq(stock cam/heads & an AODE). With gears and the intake my 1/8th time dropped from a 10.1@71 to a 9.39@78. After the heads/cam/stall I made 271rwhp & 311rwtq and ran an 1/8th of 8.42@85(and 13.17@105 quarter). Hope this helps.

I think the explorer would be a wise investment. Since the 5.0 is choked past 4500rpm, the GT-40 really helps it breathe better. I did notice a difference in acceleration. It accelerated much more freely had a stronger pull as the revs climbed. Although I did lose some low end torque, but the gears compensated for that.
