Clutch pedal is extremely hard to push in
I am new to these boards and any info would be greatly appriciated. I own an 89 GT. I have a new aluminum clutch quadrant, firewall adjuster, adjustable cable, and a fairly new hardly worn clutch/pressure plate. Everything seems to be adjusted correctly, with no binding. Last week my old aluminum clutch quadrants rear loop(where it slides on to the pedal assembly) snapped off, while the cable remained completely intact. The pedal has been extremely hard to push in before and after replacing the quardrant. Help ... please.

you need to take a look at the front bearing retainer that is the part the throwout bearing slides on and the input shaft runs through they tend to swell and mess up then the bearing wont slide real easy. you can get the part from summit cheap the new ones are steel the old ones were aluminum
