Default Unloaded front suspension question

My car's been in the air for the past few months getting a variety of different mods...

Will the front struts be damaged at all by having the front suspension unloaded for all this time? In other words they are fully extended but still connected to the spindle and lower control arm. Will the spring pressure cause any damage to them? Or are they only really in danger from being compressed too much?

Thanks.

I dont see any reason why they would get damaged. Alot of guys jack their cars up for the winter. Mine was up in the air for a couple of months with no problems.
