WTF is a flash tune?
I keep hearing about a guy in Trussville, Al, named Blake Walker. Anyway besides how good people talk about him, they said something about him doing flash tuning. This is where he programs a tune in your computer without a chip. (or this is what is claimed) The guy that told me this also said this car had a piggyback. (he may have been mis-informed) I was wondering if this is possible and would it mess it up by leaving the battery cable off?
Oh and this may hurt your feelings. The guy's 4 banger 240sx (or whatever it is) made 440 at the wheels w/o the nitrous. With it was 525hp. This is a daily driver that gets 27 mile to the gallon. I saw the car run low 7.0s about a 2 year ago and heard of it hitting sixes since then.
It makes me sick to see an 03 Cobra putting out a gazillion lbs. of boost get out ran by a 4 banger. They sound cool going down the track though.

A flash tune is when the tuner basically uploads a new tune to the car's computer. To my knowledge this isn't possible on our cars as they are older OBD-I cars and require a chip connected to the PCM (this is the piggyback your friend mentioned).
