Default Edelbrock heads

How come everytime someones talking about getting aftermarket heads everyone automatically says TFS or AFR, and they leave edelbrock out? I feel like my small valved Performer RPMS pull every bit as hard as a comparable AFR or TF head...

Everyone has their favorites, and some people hate other brands for whatever reason. Edelbrocks do seem like they get overlooked though, but they perform well. Their newer XT heads seem pretty good, but I haven't seen what they do in a bunch of different combination to get a better idea.

all that matters in the end is the ET you obtain with your parts combo, heck one of my track buddies was running consistant 11.80's on gt-40 p's bone stock, b-cam, and wieand intake and a old holley carb
