Default Gears?

i have 4.10's in my car now with a stock t-5 i like the acceleration but the car just revs way to high at highway speeds. i have been playing with the idea of changing them for awhile i am thinking of going with 3.55 because i think 3.73 will not make much of a difference? also i am in the middle of building a 351 to put in the car? what you guys think, i want it to do well at the strip but i also want it to be more street friendly hope you guys can help me find a compromise. thanks mike

I think 3.55s would be a great street/strip gear for a 351. Just for reference I turn about 2400rpm at 75.

I have 3.73s with 275/40R17s and the engine revs at 2400-2500 at 70MPH. I get 24MPG believe it or not. Not averaging 70mph but like 60-62.
