Default Strut mount bushings?

Ok so im replacing some of my front end bushings with Energy suspension Swaybar bushings, endlinks, steering rack, while doing research i came accross strut mount bushings? People claim it will do wonders, "its the best poly bushing upgrade you can do".....any of you guys done it? whats your results? Do you like them, hate them? Can you clue me in on how to do them, and do i need to be realigned after doing them? I know im jeperdizing some ride quality with poly's but the rubbers are shot! thanks in advance for any asistance!

I got poly with my cc plates. No difference. You need to impact off the nut to get to it.

true i tried turning it with a socket wrench and it just turned the entire asembly then i tried a box end with a screw driver in the slot and it wouldnt budge at all. Fivepointohh its hard for me to explain this but hopefully its clear enough for you to understand lol. If i were to jack car up remove wheel, support control arm, then remove the 3 strut mount bolts compress shock allow the spindle to rotate and pull out through the fenderwell is there a plate underneath that controls caster and camber? do i have to remove that plate to install the lower strut mount bushing? if i remove plate will it throw alignment off?

Or is caster camber ok as long as i dont drill out the rivets that keep the upper mounting plate attached to the fenderwell while the strut mounting bolts and have been removed?
