87 gt cutting out

I have a 1987 mustang GT 5.0 when I'm driving the car will cut off then come right back on 3-5 seconds later. I dont know what is wrong with it, it happens about 2x an hour of driving. Any suggestions?

When have you last replaced your fuel filter ?

I put an aermotive fuel system on it 3 years ago with aermotive fuel filter. New tank and lines. Do you think it needs to be changed?
