lowering a stock 1987 mustang

Default lowering a stock 1987 mustang

I have stock springs and would like to cut a couple of inches off , how much can i cut ?

Don't cut the springs. Just replace them with proper lowering springs.

however i didnt cut these to lower my car. those are drag springs and they are too tall and were binding. however cutting one full length reduced the total length from 15" to 12 1/4" from top to pigtail. no more bind and the car sits more level now too. suspension seems to be more dynamic now that they arent binding.
