2,000 to spend

Before you start buying all sorts of stuff, start with the basics. Did you bump the timing yet on your car( between 12-15 degrees is good). It's a free mod that can free up a few more HP. Next, I would junk that stock shifter and throw in a performance one. Gears would be my next step. 3.73's are a good compromise and will really wake your car up. Although it will not increase power, it will feel like you gained 30-40 horsepower. Smoky burnout's will be the norm. These two things will cost about $700(if gears are installed by a shop). You can add under-drive pulleys to relieve parasitic drag and free up a few more ponies for well under $100. As for the clutch, if your stock one is not slipping, I would keep the stock one and save some $$. But the truth is, what do you want to do to it. Set up your goals and go from there

Well the clutch is slipping and i have a friends shop all my parts next to nothing. I think my goal would be is really wake this car up. Would like it to pull hard and jus keep up with the rest of the pack. What about good street/drag tires?

M/T ET streets are great tires. However, for your car I would run the Nitto Drag 555R's. They are a great drag radial that can be driven on the street. I got two years of daily driving out of mine. And at the track, they gripped better the more worn they were. As for keeping up with the pack, 3.73 and bolton's should get you there. I ran bolton's and a GT-40 intake manifold and made 219rwhp and 267rwtq through an AODE. At the strip it ran a 9.39@78 w/a crappy 2.3 60ft. It was a pretty potent setup.
