Default Rustang!! what to do here?

So after pulling my motor to do my carb setup I noticed this wonderful sight. Should I cut all the cancer out and have steel plates welded in its place? This is basically the only spot of rust on the car the rest of the engine bay is fine.

by the way...should I header wrap these things, or should I paint them. Whats a good hi-temp paint out there that wont flake off.

dont worry lol, the motor wont look like that when its going in the car, thats just my stock junk.

Cut and grind all the rust away, Then replace with same thickness plate and weld.

RIGHT under the rail is where the k-member bolts to, you need to cut out all the rust and rebuild the rail

Ok ill ask him thanks man. And italian..the rest of the car is rust free. I not gonna ditch the car from just a little rot on the front rails, from what I can see its only on the side of the rail and not underneth where the K-member bolts too. No biggie to grab my dewalt and cut it all out and reweld in some patchs.

It looks like you have ceramic coated headers so no big need to wrap them.
