20 grand you can have a back halved car with 33" slicks running way faster than 8s.

If it was me, I would look at driving my car and buying a roller that you can build a race car out of. Then find something to slap a dominator on top of.

 

or buy terminator go fast at the track turn around drive it home with the a/c on.

 

Here is a book to start with. It is a few years old but, covers a lot. It even shows how to put the kenne bell on like the one in my car.
