they have a full manual valve body out for the 4R70W now that takes the need for a computer away. But it is not cheap at all the one I was looking at was in the $700 range. but there will more to come that is for sure so the price will come down some.

From what info I have seen and looked at so far lock is applied with a switch and or a timer it also comes with a trans. brake at that price... so the lock up still works
