Default help with my 5.0

I have a 1985 5.0 mustang. It will start up fine then I can drive it around fine. But after I shut it off and try to get it started again its like the battery is dead. But after I let it cool down it will start again. I think its my starter is going bad. But I have had a lot of people tell me all different things that could be wrong. If anyone had this same problem or anything like it please let me know how to fix it asap.

ps. I need help fast because my roomate wants to junk my car. because he is sick of picking me up when my car wont start. I have been putting this car together since i was 16 and would like to finish it.

My brother has and 87 Gt has the same identical problem we have been thru 3 diff starters and that isnt it, we havent really figured it out yet i will keep you posted though we swapped solieniods too so that is out of the pic, i think it maybe wiring but i cant get him to buy anything to see if that is it, if the starter wire has been smoked it can have that effect i would think, like i said when we get it fixed i`ll try to let you know!

what exactly happens when you try to start it? There is no change in the way it runs once it gets up to temp?

The car runs the same every time after i get it started no missing or anything it will burn the tires after i get it started every time. Its starting the car that's the problem. I have a new module and starter relay however i was messing around with it the other day and noticed that my coil was leaking i am going to replace that when i get paid. i was told that could also cause the same problems that i am having. i checked the timing and that's spot on as well.

it's either your starter or the starter wire.If it were me I'd try the cheapest first
