93 Reborn Build
I got off of work early today for once. The girls wanted to go out in the garage to color on the floor so I was able to take the time to remove the front brakes and spindles. I am just trying to prep the front end for when I get the parts next weekend.

Yea, slowly it is comming together. Like I said before I have been attending school I haven't had time to do anything at home let alone mess with the car. I get up at around 330am and head to WLC and they let us go about 7 or 8pm after the barracks are straight. I barely get to see my kids at night let alone anything else. OO well only 4 more days of it and then its back to the old routine.
I am in the process of installing the prothane kits I bought for the front end. I was trying to figure out which of the ball joint boots to use but havn't mess with that in a couple days. I just unbolted one of the struts to see how the strut mount bushings are going to go. I did notice that the kit only has 2 of the 3 bushings that are used. I am also trying to remember if the big flat bushing is supposed to separate from the plastic strut boot thing or not. If I remember right the 83's did....
I did find out last night that I am going to have to replace the driver inner tie rod because it has about a 1/4 inch of in and out play.

ugh, I gotta replace my passenger side tie rod......... its been bent for like......... 2 years? hahaha, well ever since I owned the car.
I dont wanna do the work, and I dont wanna pay someone to do it, so it hasn't been done yet.
what a blast those are.

Tie rods are pretty easy though. Its just more work to do. The passenger tie rod on my 83 was bent pretty bad when I bought it years ago so out came the BFH and it was straightened out lol.
Went to Advance today. I picked up the new pads for the front brakes (for the SN stuff), a fuel filter, wheel cylinders, some caliper paint, and ordered the passenger inner tie rod. I also picked up a set of pads to do the front and back of the 98 when I get a chance and I never realized how SMALL the rear pads are! I am going to see world tomorrow but saturday I am going to get my front 5 lug stuff!
After I changed the fuel filter on my Expedition I went ahead and took the speedo cable and throttle cable off the 83 and put them on the 93. Now the only hole that needs to be filled in the firewall is the wiper motor. It is looking more and more complete once piece at a time.
I was never able to find directions on the net on the installation of the strut tower bushing kit to I decided to do it my way. I am melting and cutting the rubber off the metal shell that is on the top of the dust boot for the disc looking bushing and using it there. I will get some pics tomorrow of it. I also did get the smaller boot to fit over the ball joint. It just took a little more lube and pressure comming straight down on it.

. I can't wait to get a chance to put them on. I will get pics of them later!
