93 Reborn Build
Well, I ran out of RTV and I still have to bolt down the intake. I did have it all together at one point but one night I wasn't thinking about it and rotated the motor while it was on the stand to look at something and one of the lifters slid out of its bore. SOoo I had to remove it again to put it back in. I still haven't replaced my bent push rod yet so I still need to pick one up. I should get a whole new set but I don't have the cash at the moment so I will spend the $2 on a single one.

Tonight I gave the car power and it didn't catch fire! lol I wanted to hook up the battery and check out what I could. I did find out that I need a starter solenoid. I am about to go out and jump it to hear the starter turn over. My driver window works but right now the passenger does not. My dome light does also work. I do get power to the instrument cluster. It pretty much seems like everything is doing what its supposed to right now. I didn't get too in depth with it by checking everything with the multimeter except for the starter solenoid issue.
I ended up running my main ground through the rubber grommet for the filler neck and back to the bolts that hold on the rear bumper. I didn't feel like drilling any holes and that was a perfect spot for the length of my ground.

The starter does work by jumping it so a starter solenoid is definitely on the to purchase list. I didn't let it really crank though because I don't have the rockers torqued down or anything like that.
Well now all I need to make it run is:
push rod
rtv
starter solenoid
For the state inspection:
wiper motor
headlight bulbs
Then I need a dash still but that doesn't stop me from driving or being inspected. I can get RTV from work so that won't be an issue. Then once I get the pushrod I can finish putting it together and start her up! I might just put the bent push rod in the vice and straighten it out just so I can do this.....hmmmmm...(I know its not the best thing to do but shhhhhhhhhh lol). Anyway yes its almost complete!
Also my brother gave me an idea last night when I was talking to him. I should either get a decal made or paint the "Reborn" somewhere on the car. Anyone have some ideas? I have thought about on the hatch where the LX emblem would be, right above the Mustang on the quarter windows, or right below the the 302 badges I have for the fenders.

This is where I am right now. I decided to go ahead and straightened out the bent pushrod because it wasn't that bad. So the valve covers are in their final resting palaces as well. Fan controller and the starter solenoid are now mounted. I have also been working on wiring in the radio. Now I just have to finish putting in the speakers.
