Seems like you are getting close. It must feel good to know you did it all yourself. I have seen people do them but, one year they have the rear-end built, next year they order some heads and so on and so on. Next thing you know they have 7 years in a car. You got like 2 months.

I know what you mean about the long projects. I just have an addiction to my cars. When I am not concentrating on whats going on at work I am thinking about the car and my next step. Just think though, I was wanting to have this all done the month I was on leave lol. If it wasn't for doing my bathroom and running out of money it probably would have. Seeing a finished product that has been done completely by me does feel good but knowing there are some things that I could have done better or things that I am going to have to do again kinda get to me. I am a perfectionist at heart but the cash flow kills alot of that though so if I kinda miss my target a little I want to do it over but I don't have the time or cash.

One step closer now. I have the bottom parts of the fender rails welded on and I have started working on the brackets I am mounting the engine bay items on for the time being. Once I get the extra money to complete the fender aprons I will be mounting those items probably inside the fender wells completely unseen. This is done just to get the car drivable so its not perfect.

As it sits they still flex somewhat easily but when I bolt the fenders on it will give it alot more strength. After I get the top portion welded in it will be nice and sturdy because of the triangular shape. But when the time comes for that the whole apron will be put together so strength will not be an issue.

I got the ignition box and coil mounted finally so now I can start finishing up that part of the wiring. It would look better if it was one piece of metal like the other side but I kinda ran out of sheet metal. I might end up running the wiring tonight or early in the morning before work. I need to put a coat of paint on of this stuff so it doesn't look completely like crap when I start driving it.

I tell you guys what wiring is such a slow process. I am finally seeing the wiring comming to a finish under the hood. All I have to do now is extend the choke wiring and put in the thermostat wire for the fan controller. I now have a really big bundle of wiring all by the driver strut tower just all zip tied together.

The interior still has a couple minor things to mess with but that is mostly the radio and the lights for extra gauges. Then I need to run the main ground in the back and we will be ready to energize the car and see if anything catches fire lol. After that all I will be waiting on to fire this thing up is a push rod and some more rtv. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!
