Yea it felt pretty good. I think I have the timing where I want it. It might now be completely right though, IDK lol. It is set at 12*. If it is off still it can very well be part of my temp going up like it was too. My fuel pressure is only at 5-6 PSI. That is what a carb needs but mine is used to more like 9-10 by the cheap pressure gauge I am using. Time to work out these little bugs and adjustments so I can get it ready for inspection! That will probably have to wait till after I get off of vacation though so my money can be saved for that and all of my weekends are taken up this month with other peoples cars.

Looks like it is running pretty strong. It defiantly wasn't spitting fuel out the pipes so, it may be a bit lean. Anyways, it looks like a job well done.

I never have had that issue before. When it was rich as hell when I first put the motor together a few years ago it would smoke and burn your eyes lol. I haven't pulled a plug out yet but I will do all that once I change the oil out. I still have a small oil leak at the connection for the oil pressure sending unit hookup. I do know the pump isn't the greatest though because it was at like 3-4 psi for the longest time and finally came up to 5-6. I do need to hook the cluster I have back up and see how much fuel it says I have. I don't want to go out and test drive again and run out of fuel lol. Letting it sit and idle high like that does eat up alot of fuel.

I believe I got it right this time. I went a tooth clockwise with the rotor and set it. Its in the area its supposed to be for 12* on the balancer, vacuum canister orientation and block castings so I would say yes. It didn't skip a beat at all and hasn't backfired on me yet.

Its been a slow couple of days but I haven't had a whole lot to do though either. Today I went and checked out what lights did and didn't work. So far

---brake lights= work
---turn signals= don't work (I think I just figured out why though)
---rev lights=don't know yet
---headlights= no power to them, so thats a no go
---lic plate lights= work but have to make a connecting harness for old hatch plugs for new body plugs (83's hatch)
---parking lights=all work
---dome light=works but is always on

I should have it inspected within the next 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!

Yup, turn signals work now. I don't have a hazard switch so the power that runs through it for the flashers so I had to jump it and now it works!! Now I am just missing some bulbs and need to figure out the head lights.
