Yup, def a hack a$$ job. That first little connector up by the driver strut tower is the plug that goes to your hood light. I just found that out for myself not too long ago.I would def get some kind of tub or the stock setup for that intake because that air filter looks R>E>T>A>R>D>E>D.... Looks like you have a nice little clean up project to do. It shouldn't be hard at all. Might as well swap to a mass air setup as well while you are there.

Also, might as well drop that smog pump and the rest of the emissions crap since its not hooked up anyway. That will look cleaner and be lighter

There is nothing wrong with it. Mass Air tends to run better and accept mods better.

i read up on the differences, i understand now. Well im clueless on my idle problem. I cleaned the iac and throttlebody plate. I mean sure the difference is night and day. My car idles when warm better, when you coast while in gear it doesnt slow down as fast or engine brake as hard. and the throttle response is better. but it still wants to die when cold. I havent reset my base idle yet. but if that isnt the issue what is?

check your tps.on top of your tb.check the green wire,it should have at or just below .98v at wot.make sure it is tight.you can adjust the output voltage by loosening the two screws on top.if you cant adjust the voltage higher than .89 then you need a new tps.
