turbo 347?
what about exhaust? i have true dual 2 1/4in pipe back to flowmaster mufflers, what would be a good setup for the exhaust assuming i have a single turbo? have 1 header custom made? have them both custom made into a single flange? larger pipe diameter?
look at some kits pony down BG turbo kits both make nice GOOD kits that you can buy just the headers from. What size turbo is it? As far as exhaust bigger is better with a turbo and ditch the ChokeMasters cuz thats what they are gone to do to your turbo CHOKE it as will any other chamber style muffler. the best mufflers for a turbo car is straight through. Most single kits will come off the turbo with a 3 to 3.5 down pipe I ran mine into a X pipe cuz that is what I had that was set up for long tube headers capped the one side so not to cut up the pipe due to it being a DR. Gas X pipe and all and ran the single right to the other side all in 3in and cut off the flows and put on some Moroso Spiral flow mufflers that I may change again to a set of bullets. the car is very quite and the tone is very deep then just dumped them just before the rear axle. you are gone to need all you can get with the CID you are running. Agian what size turbo is it..go look around at the turbo fourms and read up some. you need to by the way you are talking do you have another car to drive or is this the only one ? if you dont have another I think I would leave it alone till you do.LOL..
yea i have a daily driver lol. ill have to get the exact specs on the turbo, my friend still has it and i cant remember exactly what it is. the turbo was originally going to go on a MKIV supra, but he got a different turbo at the last minute and offered me this one. another thing i thought of the other day and meant to ask was where would the oil feed and return lines go on the block?
Oil feed will come off the pressure sensor T off it and run a braided line up to feed the turbo and the return will go back to the oil pan and should be a straight as possible with the least amount of bends you can get away with and at least a -10AN or bigger.
you can if you take the pan off. otherwise you have to punch a hole in the pan. drilling will leave metal shavings in the oil and destroy the motor. even with the punch you you will have to tap the hole by putting grease on the tap to catch the metal shavings
^^^^ what he said. I like to put a magnet on the oil pan to catch any metal shavings when I am done taping and flushing the oil pan. Cant never be careful enough.. I would rather pull the pan.
