Default Bumpsteer with 96+ Spindles?

Does the extra 8mm track width of the 96+ spindles cause bumpsteer or is it the location of the tie rod mounting? I have been discussing this with another guy at a local forum and he said after he put 99 spindles on his vert he has alot of bump steer. But he sent me pics of the tie rods and they are almost perfectly level so I don't think that the tie rod mounting location is the problem. Who knows and can explain???

track width doesnt cause bumpsteer, tire width and tie rod geometry does

This depends on what K-member/rack you plan on using.

No tire width does NOT cause bumpsteer.
