Talking 1993 GT Convertible

Well, I finally got what I've wanted for a while. It's 5.0, c-4 transmission, cold air intake, & upgrade headers & exhaust. It need a new interior (eventually lol), paints not too bad though. I got the guy down from $2300 to $1500 so I think it was a good deal. Only thing I need to do as soon as possible is fix the top. The material is excellent it's just the frame that's bad. Does anyone know where I can get a new one? Also the steering is looser than what I'd like & I'm not sure how to fix that so if you could help me on that too I'd really appreciate it. One more thing lol, it idles kinda high & wants to take off by itself when in drive, how could I adjust that & would I get better gas mileage once it's fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated & I'll try to post some pics once I clean it up a bit : ).

Don't mean to sound rude but it's a '93 lol. Although '83's are good too : )

do a base idle reset procedure. you can find it on google. as far as the convertible frame goes... good luck is all i can tell you.
finding one is hard enough, then getting it on is a whole other ballgame.

It's not carbed so I'm not sure if that changes how to reset the idle? Sorry, I don't know that much lol

you will have to find a top from a 91-93 stang they are a more compact design than the earlier cars...i suggest keeping an eye on craigslist for a whole 4 cylinder vert to use as parts....

as for the steering check you wheel bearings and adjust if needed, check your ball joints and tie rod ends etc

use the search function to look for how to set your base idle

Are you sure you have a C4 tranny?? it should be an AODE 4speed auto
