Photo / Link request for the smog tube at the back of the E7 heads
So i have been reading around, and apparently the tube that connects the heads at the back there usually clogs with carbon. As causes all kinds of awesome problems.
I have heard of people removing this tube completely, and also just completely plugging the heads with a bolt.
Im currently in the chase of finding a vacuum leak / why i am running lean.
This tube looks like its in rough condition and am thinking of tearing my upper intake apart to reach this tube.
If i pull it off, see its clogged, clean it, and set it back up would this help my vacuum situation?
If i pull the tube off completely, and block it off on the heads, what do i do with the tube coming from the smog pump?
Im looking for some in put on what you guys have done / heard of.
If im going to go through the work of getting the tube off, is it worth putting back on ect.
If you have plugged it in the past, what did you do to the tube coming from the pump?
I dont want to cause leaks, or remove the pump.
Im running a bbk o/r h pipe.
Thanks!

`but what do i do with the tube running to the pump if i have the heads blocked off?
I dont want the pump to just blow fumes in the engine bay haha.
My h pipe had a hook up for the smog tube.
Im sure i still have an e-test down the road, so id like to keep the pump in there...
